Behind junior Grant Stevens’ 1-under round of 34 the Spartan golf team shot a team score of 150 defeating the Wolverines of GMG by 34 strokes at Conrad. Junior’s Taylor Schupbach and Bobby Ayers tied for runner-up medalist honors with rounds of 37.

Zach Swalley and Michael Henley completed the Grundy Center scoring both posting a score of 42.

“Grant’s sub-par round of 34 was only one stroke off the school record,” said Grundy Center head coach Dennis Dirks. “Having three scores of 34,37,37 this early in the season is encouraging for our team.”

The Grundy Center junior varsity was also victorious beating GMG 173-218. Brett Speirs won medalist honors with a 40 while Michael Dorothy and David Frisch were runner-up with a score of 41.
